PIB Employee Benefits is proud to announce a new sustainability partnership with Furthr, a mission-driven organisation committed to making a positive impact on the planet. Together, we’ve launched the Help with Kelp initiative- a simple yet powerful way for companies and their employees to support environmental conservation by simply logging in the glo platform.

With each employee’s login to glo, Furthr plants kelp- a remarkable underwater plant that plays a vital role in maintaining ocean health. Found along 25% of the world’s coastlines, kelp forests are worth an estimated $500 billion annually in ecosystem services. They help store carbon, clean coastal waters, and provide essential shelter and food for marine life.

But these important ecosystems are under threat. More than 40% of global kelp forests have disappeared over the past 50 years due to climate change, pollution, and overuse. The Help with Kelp initiative is designed to turn the tide by restoring kelp forests, rebuilding marine biodiversity, protecting coastlines, and making ocean ecosystems more resilient in the face of climate change.

Adam Percival, Head of Partnerships, PIB Employee Benefits said: “This partnership is a great example of how technology and sustainability can work hand in hand. It’s about making environmental impact an easy, everyday part of work life. We’re proud to work with Furthr on an initiative that empowers our clients and their employees to make a positive difference for the planet.”
